Middle School Boundaries

This dataset shows D.C. public middle school attendance boundaries, digitized from D.C. Public School paper maps and later added to the DC Geographic Information System (DC GIS) for the D.C. Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO).

The maps were heads-up digitized from 1995 orthophotos. They do not include private or charter schools. Maps were created in fall of 2000 and reviewed by D.C. Public Schools, with a further update in 2004. An attendance boundary is the defined geographical area in which a citizen must live to enroll in a particular DC public school.
